**All dressed up & no where to go...

I'm officially back to blogging after spending the last week without a voice & feeling like crap! So to celebrate the fact that I no longer sound like a 80 year old women who smoked her whole life, I decided to dress up a bit.

Vintage 70's Rose print dress , Rory Beca leather belt, my favorite Hillard & Hanson wedges

Actually Friday's & Sunday's are two of the only days that I get to enjoy wearing my lovely vintage dresses.  The rest of the week I usually just throw on a feminine blouse & my favorite pair of Seven jeans.  I guess I just find it sort of a waist to get all dressed up when I spend most of my time behind the computer!  Well that & the fact that I don't find shopping for hours wearing a dress exactly comfortable.

This all may be changing soon tho, because I have my fingers crossed on a couple part time jobs, which I'm keeping to myself until I hear the news about whether I got them or not. One thing for sure though, neither of them will be in the restaurant industry! (Thank God).

Until that day, I will have to keep enjoying my wonderful Friday morning coffee with the girls. Today was beautiful, a perfect morning to sit outside & enjoy my vanilla latte. I am getting kinda worried though about how ridiculously hot this summer will probably be!  I have to warn you I'm extremely grumpy when I sweat... haha. Oh well, until then I will have to cherish this wonderful Spring breeze that is blowing through my window as the sun sets!

Have a wonderful weekend my lovelies!! ♥

Vintage Present.....

Well since there's no way I can bring back that sexy little black dot dress whether for myself or the store, here are a few of my favorites that are available right now.....

This 1950's dress has been sitting in my store lonely for quite awhile.  It has the loveliest pink pansy print & cute little cuffs on the sleeves.  She's patiently waiting for someone to wear her! :)

If you're looking for pink, then this dress is gorgeous! It's made of a lightweight sheer cotton with the prettiest white embroidered flowers. Perfect 1950's shape with an adorable swing skirt. Very feminine & classy.

This last gray 1940's dress, was actually one of the first dresses I ever bought specifically for Vintage Rose. It's handmade with sheer organdy & has the loveliest little pink daisy print. And of course a super fun & flirty skirt!  Perfect for Spring!

I would love to wear any one of these lovelies on a day like today.  That is if I didn't have so much work in front of my computer.  The rain's finally gone & everything is so fresh & full of life!  Oh well, maybe on Mother's Day.

Ghost of vintage past....

I still can't get over that royal blue Marc Jacobs dress from yesterday!  I don't care if it's raining outside, if I had it I would slip it on right now with my favorite black boots & coat.  It reminds me of this adorable black & white dot dress I sold when I first opened Vintage Rose.  It was made out of this super lightweight semi-sheer cotton and had the cutest shape with a ruffle down the bodice almost exactly like the Marc Jacobs one.  It's one of the few dresses I wish I would've kept for myself.  Oh well, the great thing about selling vintage is that I never know what lovely & wonderful dresses I will discover tomorrow!

Sweet Dreams....

Soft & silky, flowing feminine ruffles, & lovely floral prints.  What do all three of these things have in common??  They're exactly what I'm in the mood for, for Spring.

This dress is one of my favorites! Don't you just love the color? It reminds me of those satin heels from a couple weeks ago. With just the right amount of ruffles around the neckline & the perfect little bow around the waist. Hey and it might even make my eyes look blue...

This sheer teal one makes me want to head to the beach.  It would be a perfect dress to wear to dinner, when we head to Santa Cruz for my birthday...

I'm totally loving the shades on this dress. As a child, purple was always my favorite color. Although lately I've been more in the mood for pink. So what's better than combining the two, and adding just the right amount of black for a perfect contrasting floral print?!

Looks like I may actually have to get a day job or two to be able to afford these, but a girl can day dream right?!

Model or Dress Form, that is the question....

I have been contemplating on modeling my dresses or continuing to use the dress form. For some reason I just can't seem to make a decision, so I'm up for any suggestions.... Here are a few of my new shots....

And some older shots with my lovely dress form...

Let me know what you think.....

April showers bring.... May showers??

Happy May Day everyone!  I remember the first day of May as usually being warm & sunny, and a perfect start to Spring.  Instead it's still raining and overcast!  So what better way to welcome in April's late showers than with these lovely vintage umbrellas.  I had my eye on a pink floral one a few months ago on ebay, but got outbid at the last minute..  which always seems to always happen to me.  (Seriously who stays up until 4 in the morning just to bid on an umbrella?!?)

Here are a few of my favorites right now on Etsy...  Although none of them compare to one that got away! :)

Stay dry this weekend,

Checked out for the weekend....

I'm so happy it's Friday which means another exciting weekend of shopping is about to start!  And it's raining, which for some reason has put me in the greatest mood.  I absolutely adore the smell outside when it first starts to rain.  It's so calming & refreshing.  And this lovely rain means that I get to wear my favorite boots again!!  So happy Friday everyone.. & here is an outfit post to get you through the weekend.  Nothing too exciting, but this wonderful gingham print menswear shirt that I found at my new favorite thrift store.  It's super comfy & made of this extra soft & slick polyester.  I just have to keep reminding myself that I'm not wearing a table cloth... although it sure feels like one!  :))

Then I decided to add  a little preppy sweater... you know since it was raining and all....
